Jen Looks for Love Again on 'Bachelorette' Jen Schefft thought she had found the perfect romantic vintage with wine heir Andrew Firestone on "The Bachelor," but in the end, she was left with the dregs. The 28-year-old from Chicago is ready to uncork another bottle of televised love when she stars in the latest installment of ABC's "The Bachelorette."While the face at the center of the show may be familiar, there are certainly some changes to the popular show's formula. For the first time, New York City will serve as the show's setting, moving the dating and other hijinx from the beaches of Southern California to the pavement of the Big Apple.Additionally, for the first time the show's star will have a hand in picking the men who vie for her affections. Schefft will begin her search on Friday, Aug. 13 in New York City and will continue through Chicago, San Diego, Kansas City, Milwaukee and Miami, among other cities. Information on how men can apply to become contestants is, as always, available on ABC's website.ABC will premiere the new season of "The Bachelorette" in January of 2005.In the last episode of the third "Bachelor" installment, Firestone selected Jen over Kirsten Buschbacher and for several months they appeared to be a happy couple before officially announcing their split last December. So far, it looks as if the women of "The Bachelorette" have done a better job with their choices. Trista Rehn and Meredith Phillips, both losers on "The Bachelor," are still with their "Bachelorette" men. Trista and Ryan Sutter married late last year, while Meredith and Ian McKee remain engaged."This show found Trista the man of her dreams and now it's my hope to find the one man with whom I can spend the rest of my life," Schefft says. "My husband needs to be someone who is down-to-earth yet ambitious. I want us to be able to connect on all levels."The men are 0-5 with their matches. Quarterbachelor Jesse Palmer, the last man to wear the "Bachelor" mantle, split with Jessica Bowlin very soon after that season's finale.
